Official Rules and Regulations

Welcome to Loci, Inc.’s (“Loci“) Scavenger Hunt (“Contest“).  A game of skill designed to test your searching skills.  Here are the official contest rules (“Rules“).

Who can participate?

Anyone with an email address using the free or upgraded account of LOCIsearch (previously InnVenn) may participate if they meet these Rules.   No purchase is necessary.  Visit www.locisearch.com to use LOCIsearch.

This content is open to legal residents of all states of the United States and the District of Columbia who are at least 18 years of age.

Employees of Loci and Loci, LLC and members of their immediate family (defined as spouse, parent, sibling or child and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and persons living in the same household of Loci employees, whether or not related, are not eligible to enter or win. Void where prohibited by law.  This contest is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws.

How about the clues?

At approximately 12 PM EDT on April 1, 2018 Loci will release clues to its community via its official social medial platforms and by email.  The clues will relate to a specific patent.  Using the clues, you will use your patent searching skills on LOCIsearch to locate the prize patent.  New clues will be released approximately every five business days until a winning submission is received.  The Contest ends on April 30, 2018.

What do I have to do to win?

Once you think that you have found the patent, to enter, you must submit an email entry to scavengerhunt@loci.io with:

  1. the correct patent number as displayed on LOCIsearch in the subject line of the email;
  2. in the body of your email, include the three-digit number printed on Loci’s logo under the “Documents and Images” section of the correct patent; and
  3. include your name, city and state in the body of the email.

Only the correct patent will have a Loci logo with the three-digit number printed on it.

The first email that we receive in compliance with these Rules will win.  We will look at the time stamp up the millisecond for the winning entry.  In the event of a tie, the first person to submit their wallet information (see below) wins.

Each person can only use one email address for entry.  Limit one (1) entry per person, provided that you may resubmit up to one other entry to fix a technical issue with your entry.  Eligibility of individual entries will be at the sole discretion of Loci, for any reason or for no reason, though specific reasons for disqualification may include misuse of these Rules. Loci is not responsible for and will not consider incomplete or incorrect entries. Entries generated by script, macro, mechanical or other automated means and entries by any means which subvert the entry process are void. Multiple entries received from any person in excess of the stated limitation will be void. All entries become the sole property of Loci.  Entries are tied to the email address submitted.  No shared email addresses may be used to submit entries.

So, what do I win?

1,000 LOCIcoin.

What do I have to do to claim my prize?

The winner must provide an ERC-20 token compatible wallet address within 72 hours of notification of winning from Loci to receive the tokens. If winner is not able to provide this information, a next, fastest submitter with the correct information who is in compliance with these Rules will be chosen until requirements are met.

You are solely responsible for all federal and state taxes on the prize.
