Hello, Loci Community!
We’ve got so much to share with you about last week and the week ahead. Here’s a run-down of the latest!
LOCIporsche at VIR – 4/27 – 4/29
After an exciting weekend on the track at the Virginia International Raceway in Alton, VA, the LOCIposrche driven by Alec Udell and Corey Lewis rounded out the top five with an overall placement of fourth in the whole field, and third place in pro-pro division. We are thrilled at the masterful skills exhibited by the GMG racing team and are so grateful to have been able to witness it firsthand. Read about the impressive results here.
Innovative Speaker Series with Maryland Tech Council – 5/2/18
Tomorrow on Wednesday, May 2, our CEO, John Wise, will be featured as a speaker in the Innovative Speaker Series for the Maryland Tech Council. He will deliver a presentation on “Embracing Blockchain Technology” that is sure not to disappoint. If you are local, we encourage you to join us! Tickets are available here.
Esports Hackathon – 5/4/18- 5/5/18
This weekend on Friday and Saturday, May 4-5, Loci will be partnering with SportsUNITED in Indianapolis to sponsor the Esports Hackathon. Esports are a form of competition using video games that are typically multi-player. This event serves as just one of many hackathons that SportsUNITED will hold in their nationwide tour and Loci will be sending a team to highlight and promote our LOCIsearch platform for innovators in attendance. The winner of the hackathon will receive a $12,500 prize, as well as a spot in Accelerador and Sportsradar’s virtual accelerator.
May Scavenger Hunt
As promised, the Loci Scavenger Hunt is back, and it begins today! The theme this month is Wacky Patents, and throughout the month we will release clues for up to three patents starting today.
How does it work?
The clue for the first patent will be released today, and we will release a new clue every few days. Once someone discovers the first patent, we will begin releasing clues for the second patent. The prize money will begin at 500 LOCIcoin, increasing with each additional hidden patent throughout the month.
Important Info: We want to emphasize that you are only allowed one submission per patent, and you must be a US resident to participate due to legality issues. If you submit more than one guess per patent, you will be eliminated, so please only submit one guess per patent! Once the first patent is found, you may submit one guess for the second patent, and so on.
For full rules, please visit loci.io/hunt.
As always, thank you so much for your support and engagement and happy scavenger hunting!
Thinking Better. Together.
